A programme designed for people who are ready for employment

PROGRAMME INFORMATION

• If you are serious about training to find a job then this programme is for you!!
• Learn@work provides (up to) 16 weeks on-the-job training that teaches you specific skills in your chosen industry.
• The purpose of this programme is to upskill you in order to gain employment in the place of your training.
• You are supported through this learning process by both your employer and your HLC training broker.
• Most of your training will happen in the workplace but some may be Campus-based.

• Your Campus-based training provides opportunity to gain Units Standards towards a National Certificate
• Training to get you back into the workforce

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Fully subsidised (no cost to business) (up to) 16 weeks training
• Full time training (5 days, 40 hours per week)
• A minimum of 80% on-the-job training
• A maximum of 20% campus-based training
• The hours of training are negotiated to suit the trainee and the employer
• Training with the possibility of a pre-employment trial
• Customised training to suit individual workplaces
• Assistance with compliance training (First Aid, OSH , Forklift, ERA) where applicable

You may qualify for a Travelling Allowance

If you answer YES to anyone of the following you are eligible for Learn@work

• Registered as a job seeker with Work & Income and/or receiving a benefit from Work & Income
• Left a TOPs course within the last 6 months
• Left school within the last 6 months
