Supported Employment Service

The Supported Employment Service is for people who identify as having a disability.

We can support you to find employment in the Horowhenua Area

If you....

• have an interrupted work history or have had limited or no opportunity to experience work
• require ongoing support services in order to achieve independence in part or fulltime employment then we may be able to help

We will work in partnership with you to

• Assess your employment needs
• Identify your work skills and personal strengths
• Prepare a career plan
• Identify potential employment options
• Match your skills and interests with employment opportunities
• Prepare for an interview
• Link you with other agencies for specialist support
• Support you to implement your career plan
• Explore training options

We will work in partnership with the employer to support employment placements with

• Careful matching of employees to the work place
• Assistance with accessing employment subsidies, training support subsidies, and job coaches
• Goal-oriented training contracts agreed with employer and employee
• Support and training for the employee which may be on-going and support with adaptations in the work environment
• Workplace visits and ongoing monitoring to assist integration, and support successful job outcomes
